Bill Heidebreicht moved his Chevrolet Oldsmobile dealership from Almont, Michigan to its present location in Romeo in 1971. At that time, he was partnered with Jim Wernig and the store was called Wernig and Heide. Bill bought Jim Wernig out in 1976 and the store became Heidebreicht Chevrolet Oldsmobile.
Kurt Heidebreicht started on the wash rack and worked his way through the store to become the General Manager in 1981 and the Dealer Operator in 1994. Kurt, a Romeo High School graduate, learned early that to run a successful store, he needed to find the right people to fill key positions and treat them right. Over the years, he assembled a management team and an employee base that has built the Heidebreicht family here today.
John Boyce is the General Manager and has been a partner at Heidebreicht Chevrolet since 1999. John is a lifelong Romeo resident and started at Heidebreicht in 1979. He progressed through Sales and Sales Management to the General Manager position. Under John's direction, our sales department has established a reputation as a dealership that gives you excellent service and treats you fairly, just like family!
